28A – Your Exit Strategy
Exit Strategy
My venture is a mobile fitness service that provides meals and workout plans for any customer in need or short of time to pay expensive fitness centers.
The most important thing to take into account is the amount of effort, investment, and customer return I get during the first 5 years of the business. If I don't see any progress being made, I will immediately sell it. If the business takes off and provides a very positive ROI, I will be sure to expand or even franchise the idea to different locations across the nation.
No matter where the location or age group, there are always a certain amount of individuals who are focused on health and fitness, therefore, relocating, selling, or simply expanding shouldn't be an issue. However, being that my service is adjusted to fit customers who don't want to travel or pay for a fitness center, it would be best to take the next step and purchase a location with the money I gain from holding this business in the next 5 - 10 years.
Overall, this strategy would not be something I act on or think about until I figure out whether it becomes a success or not.

Hi Joaq! Looking into the future, I feel you have come up with a wise plan to sell in a few years. Being locked onto one product, it is very hard to expand this very specific avenue. In addition, financials have a big part and if you are unable to support the business it would be in your best interest to sell. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHey Joaquin,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about your business throughout the whole semester and believe you have a lot of potential. With ambition and dedication you can achieve anything. You should be more specific with the location and what you wanted in regards to keeping or selling the business. Great post!
Joaquin,
ReplyDeleteI believe you have a great plan ahead of you concerning your venture. If you don't see investment return in the next 5 or more years, you should sell it. Overall, your strategy seems very straightforward and appealing. I think you did a great job exploring your options and thinking deeply about your exit strategy which is extremely important to not only yourself but your consumers as well. Great insight!
